Amygdala

Absolute silence, a curtain moves gently in the room. Light falls on the duvet and projects the starry sky into the space. Like an animal in the jungle, I awaken when complete silence reigns. Only the sound of rain can calm me and let me glide into endless dreamscapes. The cool embrace of my blanket, floating inwardly in different worlds.

The "Amygdala," a small almond-shaped structure in our brain, subtly influences our sleep. While we dream, it organizes emotional experiences of the day and influences our nocturnal adventures. However, if it is overloaded, nightmares and sleep problems can occur. Our emotions and sleep are closely linked, and the amygdala plays an important role in this interplay.
